At Santa Maria degli Angeli in via Francescani 4b you will find the “Foresteria della Perfetta Letizia”. If you come down from Assisi you must first reach the basilica, turn left and walk along the side of the apse and then on for another 200 metres. On the right you will find a small door in the wall of the convent.

The Foresteria (convent hostel) for pilgrims is small but handy/functional and offers accommodation for the night, breakfast and lunch; it also has a small chapel where people can pray together.

Besides this is where Credentials are issued and it is the central point for the Franciscan paths. But, above all, it is the first port of welcome to reflect the spirit of hostels along these new-born paths. When you get here you will be welcomed by me, Angela, and by a friendly friar.
